WHY CHOOSE SEPS?

We pride ourselves in our bird knowledge, with over 60 yrs collective experience in bird behaviour. We feel there is no bird problem we can't find a solution for.

We have a team of experienced staff with top-quality customer service on hand to find a solution for your bird problems.

SEPS was formed in 2018 by Nigel King and Gary Muirden. We already had a small bird control business in addition to the services provided by our established Bird of Prey Centre, located in Essex.

After completing several large bird-proofing projects including bird abatement programmes, it seemed a natural progression to create our own bird control company and brand.

Over the past 5 years, SEPS has built up an impressive client base and undertaken countless complex contracts successfully, including football stadiums and Railway networks.

Director

NIGEL KING

Nigel has dedicated 43 years of his life to the study of birds.

Nigel is a highly respected bird specialist, who has featured on programmes with the BBC and undertaken other film work. He has lectured for Schools, colleges and universities on topics around bird education and conservation.

Nigel was, and is, a familiar sight in all things falconry. Nigel has flown birds in educational and recreational shows globally.

He is an expert bird trainer and falconer.

He also worked at ZSL London Zoo and spent time in South Africa working in Raptor rehab and conservation.

In 2010 he founded and opened, Imperial Bird of Prey Academy, which has gone on to become one of the most popular bird of prey centres in the South of England.

Nigel decided to focus his expertise towards solving business problems in 2013. He started to work in the industry of bird abatement. Today he has 10 yrs of experience in specialist bird abatement.

He then formed SEPS (South Eastern Pest Solutions LTD) in 2018, with Gary Muirden.

GARY MUIRDEN

Gary has always had an interest in animals, especially birds.

Gary started his working life as a fishmonger, soon after he decided to train and qualify as an electrician. Once qualified Gary found himself working for many years predominantly in London on various building sites.

Gary met Nigel whilst doing a falconry course at the Imperial Bird of Prey Academy in 2012. Gary and his partner have since gone on to own the centre and expand its bird and animal collection, making it a popular day out attraction to families.

Gary decided to have a change of career and dedicate his expertise knowledge of birds to solving bird issues for businesses across the UK. Over the past 10 years Gary has gone on to build a great reputation in the industry, he is known for making any job the best visually and technically it can be.

Gary along with Nigel have built SEPS into a very successful established company.
